The Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy kicked off at the Circuit International du Mans with 318 participants showcasing their skills. Thursday’s qualifying rounds saw intense competition under perfect conditions, with a dry track and temperatures around 20°C. Mojo, the official tyre supplier, ensured optimal performance for all racers.
Micro Max: Austin Oman (GBR – Exprit/Rotax) secured pole with a time of 59.295, just ahead of Joshua Cooke (GBR – Kosmic/Rotax). Dominik Rozsa (HUN – Croc Promotion/Rotax) took third.
Mini Max: Albert Friend (GBR – Tony Kart/Rotax) dominated, setting a pole time of 56.711. Emerson Macandrew-Uren (GBR – LN/Rotax) followed closely, with Zdenek Babicek (CZE – MSKart/Rotax) in third.
Junior Max: Luka Scelles (FRA – EOS/Rotax) took the top spot with a time of 53.738. Theo Palmer (ARE – Energy/Rotax) was close behind, and Matthéo Dauvergne (FRA – Kosmic/Rotax) secured third.
Senior Max: Knud Nielsen (DNK – Tony Kart/Rotax) led with 52.941, with Nolan Lemeray (FRA – EOS/Rotax) and Lewis Gilbert (GBR – Tony Kart/Rotax) following.
DD2 Max: Leonardo Baccaglini (ITA – KR/Rotax) claimed pole at 52.484, ahead of Lenn Nijs (BEL – KR/Rotax) and Imke Arts (NLD – KR/Rotax).
DD2 Max Masters: Denis Thum (CYP – Tony Kart/Rotax) set the fastest time at 53.058, with Robert Schlunssen (DNK – Tony Kart/Rotax) and Vivien Cussac-Picot (FRA – Tony Kart/Rotax) close behind.
The action continues with qualifying heats and other events, including a drivers’ parade and cocktail reception on Friday, followed by Super Heats and Finals on Saturday. Live streaming is available on Facebook and YouTube.
